The Radical Truth

We now come to the final lesson from the Gospel of Luke. This is about Christ resurrection, ascension and sending out His followers to make disciples of all nations. Jesus told those disciples to first go into Jerusalem and pray until the power of the Holy Spirit fills them and that's where this Gospel ends, and the Book of Acts picks up. Guess what next book of the New Testament that we will study next?

We are now fully immersed in Christ's resurrection. There are two accounts that we will spend some time studying in this lesson. The first is the role some prominent women played in announcing our Lord's resurrection. And second, how the resurrected Savior revealed Himself to two disciples. This is a wonderful portion of Scripture to study.

In this lesson from the Gospel of Luke we will study the final moments of Christ's death, His burial and when the stone was rolled away. This is an exciting message and is sure to challenge and encourage you.

We now come in our study of the Gospel of Luke to the hill called The Skull, otherwise known as Golgotha or Calvary, where Jesus was crucified. We will see the people mocking Him, but we will also see a wicked man become the first convert of the crucified Savior. This is a moving message so don't miss it.

In this lesson from Luke chapter 23 we will study the final moments of Christ's sham trail and His walk to Calvary. We will learn about a prophesy He made to some women while carrying His cross. This is a stirring message.

This lesson begins with Peter's terrible grief over denying Jesus and then goes on to Christ's shame trial by the religious Jewish leaders. The Lord then ends up before Pilate, the governor of Judea, followed by a visit to Herod, who was the ruler of Galilee. There are some powerful truths that are addressed in this lesson, so don't miss it.

We will go with Jesus to the Garden of Gethsemane, hear Him pray and examine some of the profound lessons that are in this account. Then we will see the Savior arrested and Peter's denial. Here we will find some more profound lessons that will teach us how to live the victorious Christian life in the face of suffering and trials.

In this lesson we will study the final words Jesus spoke to the disciples at the Last Supper. Then we will examine Jesus going to the Garden of Gethsemane and His command, which was also an invitation, for the disciples to pray with Him. Instead, they all fell asleep. There are some powerful lessons we all need to learn from this account.

The Lord's Supper or Communion is part of what we will study in this lesson. After Jesus broke the bread and passed to the disciples He shared with them the suffering that would shortly come upon Him. Yet right after this the disciples began a debate over who would be greatest in Christ's Kingdom. This is a very interesting lesson, so don't miss it.

In the verses we are studying there are two primary subjects. The first is that Satan possesses Judas to the betraying of Jesus and the second is that Jesus and the disciples celebrate the Passover. We are heading towards the cross and we will see Jesus more beautiful and loving then we can naturally see.

This is the 500th lesson for The Radical Truth Podcast. This one comes out of Luke 21 and is about Christ's second coming. There are five prophetic verses in this chapter that deals with the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans, which happened in 70 AD. This was 40 years after Jesus made this prophesy. This is a soul-stirring message to help believers live ready for our Lord's soon return.

As we begin studying Luke chapter 21 we will take a close look at a widow whom Jesus praised. This is followed by the Lord prophesying the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple. Then we will start examining Christ's teaching on His second coming. There is some good stuff to dig into in this lesson.

The portion of Scripture we will be studying comes from the Gospel of Luke. It's about a confrontation Jesus had with a religious group called Sadducees. They don't believe in life after death and reject the idea of resurrection. Jesus silenced these men with some profound, yet simple truth. This is an interesting lesson.

There are two parts of this portion of Luke's Gospel that we will study in this lesson. The first is The Parable of the Tenants. Through this parable Jesus exposed the wicked schemes of the religious elite and how they would kill Him. The second is the continuation of Jesus confronting these hypocrites after they tried to trap Jesus. How Jesus responded to their attacks was simple, yet profound. This is a very interesting lesson.
