The Radical Truth
The purpose of The Radical Truth podcast is simple: we want to search out the radical nature of the truth as revealed in God’s Word, the Bible, and learn about Jesus our wonderful, loving Savior. We also want to learn on how to live out this radical faith that Jesus created. Each podcast is roughly 30 minutes and features the fiery teaching of Glenn Meldrum. At times he will debut a song written and performed by young Christian musicians. Subscribe to this podcast so you won’t miss a single episode.
In part two of this study on Holy Fire you will learn about God’s self-disclosure as a He revealed Himself through a burning bush, a pillar of fire and through tongues of fire. The God that is a consuming fire wants to consume anyone with His loving, holy fire that will come to Him with all their heart. The purifying fire of God will set ablaze those who passionately pursue Him.
Today we begin a new study titled Holy Fire. “Fire” is a common idea that flows through much of the church in song, prayer and thought. But what does it mean? When we sing and pray to have the fire what are we really asking God to do for us? This teaching will examine the Biblical idea of fire so that when we pray and sing about it we know what we are really asking for. May God grant our petitions and give us the Holy Spirit and fire.
Today’s podcast will be a little different. Rather then recording a teaching as I normally do, I want to share with you a sermon I preached that shook the church. The message is about counting the cost. We need to not only count the cost to be a New Testament Christian but to count the cost of our sin. This message will shake your life if you have ears to hear.
In this second part of a two episode teaching on Leaving a Legacy we will examine the importance of how we live out the Christian faith because it will affect every person in our lives. Every person leaves a legacy. The question is what kind of legacy are you leaving. It is one that Christ smiles upon or one that hell is happy over. How will your children and grandchildren be affected by your legacy? This subject is of tremendous importance to understand.
This podcast on leaving a legacy will most certainly challenge who you are and how you live. In part one we will examine how a church and pastor leaves a legacy and the importance of that legacy. We are not islands. Our lives effect people for good or for evil. And the same is true for churches and pastors. This podcast will profoundly affect your soul.
This is the eighth and final part of this study on the Life of the Early Church. In this episode Glenn will teach on the fruit that came out of the early church’s devotion to Jesus. The application of these Biblical and historical truths for our lives have the potential to birth the same kind of spiritual and moral revolution that it did in the days of the early church. All God is looking for is saints who will say, “Here I am. Send me.”
The saints of the early church were a people set on fire for God. What was one of the primary reasons those early believers turned the world upside down? They were truly devoted to prayer. In this podcast we will examine the subject of pray and how we should be devoted to it just as much as those first disciples were. Our lack of devotion to prayer is leaving the church spiritually barren. It is time we repent of the horrendous sin of prayerlessness and return to the New Testament faith that is the only standard for true believers to live.
Biblical Christianity is radical because its founder was radical. All we have to do is look at the cross and we can see just how radical it is. In part six of our study on the life of the early church we will look at the cross and how those first believers were totally devoted to all that the cross means, teaches and demands.
The Life of the Early Church is a study examining what caused those early saints to see the power of the Holy Spirit poured out as described in the book of Acts. God is not a respecter of persons. If He poured out Pentecostal power 2000 years ago in ancient Israel then He can do it now if we will meet the conditions of revival that God’s Word clearly reveals. In this episode we will learn about how those early believers were devoted to God, and as a result, to each other. May God do this in our time.
In this continuing study on The Life of the Early Church we will examine how those early saints devoted themselves to the apostles teaching. If we want the power that the early church enjoyed then we must live out the same devotion to God as they did. This lesson will surely stir your soul and encourage your faith
In part three of the series on The Life of the Early Church we will examine Jesus’ view of devotion. The standard of devotion for the early church was defined by Jesus and that is what they taught and lived. If we want the power and life that the early church experienced then we have to live the life of devotion as they did.
Biblical Christianity is radical! To this we are called and the true faith has not changed in 2000 years. This is also true when it comes to the baptism in the Holy Spirit. As real and needed as the baptism in the Spirit was for the early church so it is for us. This study will demonstrate why and how God wants to restore to the church the full Gospel.
This is the first episode of a teaching by Glenn on the Life of the Early Church. This teaching series is of tremendous importance because the American church desperately needs to return to the New Testament pattern of faith and practice. In today’s teaching you will learn what normal conversion actually is as understood, preached and lived out by the early church.
In this podcast you will learn about what makes a truly Biblical believer. This message is not for those who want to live a compromised faith, but for those who want to be like Jesus.
This is the first of three studies looking at what it means to become a radical Christian. God wants us to be on fire, Spirit filled believers that He can use to turn the world upside down. This teaching will help you get there.
In this final lesson on “A Presence Driven Church” we will study the idea that when a church is presence driven she will do the most good for the Kingdom of God. The spiritual, emotional, intellectual and relational healing that people need cannot come from the world, but only through Christ and the working of the Holy Spirit. The more the Spirit is in the church the greater healing will take place in the lives of people. And the greater the Spirit works in and through individual believers the greater the work can be accomplished through him or her. This teaching will help you be such a person and help you build such a church.
Part 2 of this study on “A Presence Driven Church” is an examination of what constitutes the life and character of a presence driven church. We will travel through the ideas that revolve around the work of the Holy Spirit to the necessity of Spirit led and Spirit driven leadership. This lesson holds vital truths that can be helpful for individual believers and leaders.
This podcast on “A Presence Driven Church” is a vital subject that needs to be addressed in our present religious environment. How can the people of God faithfully live out the what it means to be the “Church” if we do not know what the “Church” is supposed to be? In this series we will examine what the church is to be and how she is to fulfill her reason-for-being. You will be deeply stirred by this message.
Is the birth of Jesus fact or fiction? In this Christmas message Glenn briefly examines the validity of having faith in Christ and the facts that surround the historical account. You will be encouraged that Biblical faith in Jesus is not blind, but based upon truth and fact. The purpose of Christmas is also examined. Have a very, merry time celebrating the birth of our Savior.
In this final part of the series “Prepare the Way” Glenn will further demonstrate the similarities in how the church is to prepare for revival and how John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus to come to Israel. What it means to straighten out the crooked ways and smooth out the rough ways will be examined. The the ultimate purpose of revival will be discussed. You will be challenged and blessed by this podcast.
Part 2 of “Prepare the Way” is the continuation of Glenn’s teaching on the Scriptural correlation between John the Baptist preparing the way for Jesus to come to Israel and how the church is to prepare the way for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Revival is never a time and chance event, but is always the result of purposeful preparation. In this podcast the prophetic ideas spoken about in Isaiah 40:1-5 of tearing down mountains and filling in valleys will be examined. This practical teaching on the Christian life and revival is sure to bless your life.
Preparation always precedes revival. In this three week study on preparing the way for revival we will study John the Baptist and the prophecy about this man of God that comes out of Isaiah 40:1-5. There are many practical applications on how this prophecy is able to be applied to our present need to prepare the way for the Holy Spirit to fall in our lives and a local congregation.
If believers really want revival then they must be careful that the message of the cross is central to the preaching and life of the church. A simple examination of church history will reveal that whenever revival was poured out that Jesus and the cross was the consuming subject. Remove the message of the cross and you have something other than authentic revival. In this podcast you will learn the importance of the preaching of the cross in revival and get a fresh glimpse of the Precious Savior who was crucified for us.
Today in The Radical Truth we will tackle the subject of holiness and revival. Authentic revival is always a revival of holiness. Why? Because the God of revival who is holy, stoops down to reveal His holiness to sinful man. Through the manifest presence of God we come to know the true nature of sin and the only remedy for it—a crucified and resurrected Savior. We will examine the profound subject of what God’s holiness is and what it means to mankind.
