The Radical Truth

The purpose of The Radical Truth podcast is simple: we want to search out the radical nature of the truth as revealed in God’s Word, the Bible, and learn about Jesus our wonderful, loving Savior. We also want to learn on how to live out this radical faith that Jesus created. Each podcast is roughly 30 minutes and features the fiery teaching of Glenn Meldrum. James 3:18-4:2 Part 20

James 3:18 is about how true followers of Jesus are peacemakers. Verses 1-2 of the fourth chapter deals with the exact opposite. These two verses teach why there are fights and quarrels. This is a powerful lesson so don’t miss it.

In this lesson we will look at what James has to say about godly wisdom verses worldly wisdom. This is a very important subject in our day so don’t miss it.

James 2:19-26 is all about the importance of living a life of faith that is proved through action. The devil, Abraham and Rahab are examples that James uses. This is a very interesting lesson.

Christmas 2018

This Christmas message for 2018 is about how Jesus came into the world at just the right time and at just the right time He came to us. Salvation doesn’t come to us by time and chance, but through a God who is actively working in our lives. This message will encourage you.

James 2:11-13 Part 11

Though in today’s lesson we are still studying the subject of favoritism, it moves into the subject of showing mercy. James told us that “Mercy triumphs over judgement” and we will dig into this beautiful truth and see its wonder benefits in those who are true followers of Jesus.

James 2:5-10 Part 10

James 2:5-10 continues James’ teaching on the subject of favoritism. The reason why James wrote on this subject was to bring us to verse eight where he introduces the Royal Law, which is to love others as we want to be loved. So all he has to write on favoritism is really to teach us how love better. This teaching could really benefit your life.

James 2:1-4 Part 9

James 2:1-4 are the verses we will study in this lesson. The subject is on favoritism and we will see some of the ways this is played out in the church today. The principle reason why we are not to show favoritism is because we are called to be Christlike and Jesus never showed favoritism. James 1:26-27 Part 8

The last two verses of James chapter one are the focus of this study. James will contrast true religion from false and dead religion. He will also give us three traits that reveals our true spiritual condition. This message is extremely relevant in this day and age.

James 1:21-25 Part 7

James 1:21-25 is the portion of Scripture we will study in this lesson. In these powerful verses James reveals how sin in general, and anger specifically, gets a hold on us. We will also learn how we can get the victory over them through Jesus. The practical truths set forth in this lesson are life changing when they are lived out and James presents this truth as well.

In this lesson we will focus on James 1:19-20 that addresses the subject of anger. We live in a very angry world. Many people are angry and they don’t even know why. James gives us some good insight on the issue and we will go through many Scriptures to see what the Word of God teaches on this extremely important subject. This is a lesson you don’t want to miss.

James 1:16-19 Part 5

James 1:16-19 are the verses we will dig into in this lesson. James presents some powerful truths that are extremely helpful in our day and age. He warns us to not be deceived by claiming that God isn’t good, when only a rudimentary examination of the Scriptures will reveal that He is good. Then James will begin discussing the topic of good communication and this will be very challenging.

James 1:13-16 Part 4

James 1:13-16 are the focus of part four in our study of this powerful epistle. We will study in this episode a few of God’s attributes that when misunderstood causes people to be angry at Him. We will also dig into the spiritual truths about temptation and the importance of this subject should be self-evident. This message will be a tremendous help to you if you have ears to hear.

James 1:9-12 Part 3

James 1:9-12 are the verses we will study in this podcast. The state of rich and poor is a principle subject of this lesson and we will see the phenomenal way that James addresses this hot topic issue. We will also dig into some of James’ thought on what it means for a Christian to persevere. This is an exciting lesson.

James 1:5-8 are the verses we will study in this podcast. The three main subjects of these four verses focus upon our need for wisdom to live the victorious Christian life, how faith is an integral part of this and how being double-minded is ruinous. This is an interesting and challenging lesson so don’t miss it.

James 1:1-4 Part 1

Our new study is on the Epistle of James. The first half of the lesson is an introduction to the book, while the second half digs into the first four verses. James immediately begins his letter in the fiery manner that is keeping with his writing style. He is a very practical preacher and the first thing he does is to declare the divinity of Christ. He then goes on to encourage us to have joy in the midst of our trials.

The Gospel of John Part 75 – Jn. 21:15-25

John 21:15-25 are the verses we will examine in this final episode in our study on the Gospel of John. We will learn why Peter denied the Lord and what it means to love Him. The loving heart of God is revealed in these verses through the act of reconciling Peter to Himself. This is a moving portion of the Gospel that is a powerful way to end this eyewitness account of the life of Christ.

The Gospel of John Part 74 – Jn. 21:1-14

Verses 1-14 of the 21st chapter of John is the portion of Scripture we will study in this podcast. What we see here is John’s final account of Jesus appearing to some of the apostles before He ascends to the Father. This is a wonderful portion of the Word that deals with some interesting truths. We also see here the Lord’s desire for the disciples to fellowship with Him, which is the greatest privilege given to mankind.

The Gospel of John Part 73 – Jn. 20:24-31

John 20:24-31 are the verses we will be studying in this lesson. This portion of Scripture mostly deals with the apostle Thomas and his encounter with Jesus. There are some profound truths that come out in this lesson so don’t miss it.

The Gospel of John Part 72 – Jn. 20:19-23

The focus of John 20:19-23 is on the resurrected Savior revealing Himself to the disciples. We will see how Jesus greeted them and a small portion of what He taught. These were extremely important times Jesus had with the disciples because He was pouring into them truth that would be essential for them to have after He ascended into heaven. We will also look at what Jesus breathing on the disciples was all about and touch on the authority Jesus gave His followers. This is an exciting message.
