The Gospel of John Part 33 – Jn. 10:22-42

In this study we will finish chapter ten of the Gospel of John. The climatic statement in this section of Scripture is found in verse 30 where Jesus declares, “I and the Father are one.” Jesus is clearly and boldly revealing that He is God incarnate. This statement infuriated His antagonist and they once again tried to stone Him to death. But Jesus calmly continued to preach this remarkable message and then left the Temple in Jerusalem to minister where John the Baptist first began His ministry. This is a wonderful portion of Scripture to study.

The Gospel of John Part 32 – Jn. 10:6-21

In our continuing study of the Gospel of John we will look at chapter ten verses six through twenty-one. Jesus is in the midst of this wonderful teaching on His being the Good Shepherd He adds another descriptive name by calling Himself the Gate to the sheep pen. The Gospel of John Part 31 – Jn. 9:35-10:5

In this lesson in our study of the Gospel of John we will finish chapter nine and begin chapter ten. The end of chapter nine is about Jesus seeking after the blind man He healed and reveals Himself to the man. The account is very touching and reveals another facet of our Lord’s compassion. Chapter ten is actually a continuation of the events found in the ninth chapter. We will only examine the first five verses in this episode that begin Christ’s teaching that He is the Good Shepherd. The Gospel of John Part 29 – Jn. 8:49-9:2

In today’s podcast we will close out chapter eight of the Gospel of John and begin chapter nine. The climax of our Lord’s teaching in chapter eight is verse 58 where Jesus declared, “before Abraham was born, I am!” This is another bold statement where Jesus claimed to be Almighty God. In this portion of Scripture we will see the conclusion of this confrontation between Jesus and His religious, though spiritually dead antagonists. This is a very interesting account to study.

The Gospel of John Part 28 – Jn. 8:37-48

In our continuing study of the Gospel of John we will look at some of Jesus’ very radical teaching that is found in the eighth chapter. We will study verses 37 through 48. Verse 44 is the central thought of this portion of Scripture and it is where Jesus rebukes the religious people and tells them the truth that there spiritual father was the devil. The Gospel of John Part 25 – Jn. 7:40-8:11

Chapter eight begins with the story of the woman that was caught in the act of adultery and was brought before Jesus. The Gospel of John Part 24 – Jn. 7:25-39

We will be studying John 7:25-39. The centerpiece of this chapter are verses 37-39. In these verse we hear Jesus pleading with the people and now with us, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.” Jesus offers us the only thing which can truly satisfy the human soul and that is Himself through the indwelling Holy Spirit. The Gospel of John Part 23 – Jn. 7:1-24

Today we will study John 7:1-24. This chapter focuses upon one event which is when Jesus goes to Jerusalem and teaches in the Temple. In this lesson we are lay the groundwork for what we will study through the rest of this chapter. We will deal with some of the historical issues that is found in this narrative and then begin to look at the teaching our Lord did in the Temple. We will close the podcast by looking at Christ’s bold statement, ““Stop judging by mere appearances, and make a right judgment.” This will give us the opportunity to learn the truth about judging others and I think this is a very important topic to understand and apply to our lives.

Today we will finish up studying the sixth chapter of John where Jesus will finish the discourse on His being the Bread of Life. Within this study we will look at why many of His disciples forsook Him, which is very disturbing. The Gospel of John Part 20 – Jn. 6:27-40

In this podcast we will study verses 27-40 of the Gospel of John. This is the beginning of our Lord’s discourse on Him being the Bread of Life. He is confronting the same multitude that the day before ate of the miraculous meal that Jesus created from five small loaves and two small fish. The Gospel of John Part 17 – Jn. 5:28-47

Today in our continuing study of the Gospel of John we will begin with verse 28 and go through the end of the chapter. This section of Scripture is still focusing upon the confrontation Jesus had with religious people over healing a man that was invalid for 38 years. In this portion of the debate Jesus is on the offensive by revealing the terrible corruption that filled the hearts and minds of these religious people. The Gospel of John Part 16 – Jn. 5:17-27

We are still studying the event in John chapter five where Jesus healed a lame man and the confrontation with the religious Jews that broke out as a result. We will begin in verse 17 and end with verse 27. The focus of these verses are on who Jesus is and what comes out very powerfully is that Jesus is God. We see in these verses the trinity and how salvation comes through Christ alone. This lesson is packed full of sound, Biblical information that also contains some very challenging truths, so don’t miss it.

We will look at two stories today on our study of the Gospel of John. The first is at the end of chapter four which is about a nobleman that asks Jesus to heal his son. The second takes up all of chapter five, but we will only get through verse sixteen today. This is about Jesus healing a man who was lame for 38 years and the confrontation with the religious Jews that comes out of this miracle. The Gospel of John Part 14 – Jn. 4:25-42

This is part two of the story about the woman at the well that is found in chapter four of the Gospel of John. We will be studying verses 25-42 where we will see the Samaritan woman be shocked by Jesus’ bold confession that He was the long anticipated Messiah. By reaching out to one woman Jesus was able to reach a whole town as authentic revival swept through the area. We will also deal with some very radical teaching Jesus presents to His disciples that takes place in the middle of His ministry to the Samaritans. This message will definitely stir you.
